Musical Achievements
Alvin’s long experience in music and exposure to the professional music world has blessed him with some of the following musical achievements:
• Likhang Awit Finalist for the song “Umaga Na”- a GMA 7 Songwriting Contest
• SSEAYP Family Song Composer, “We are the People of the World”, now part of the yearly SSEAYP songs, translated and sang in Southeast Asian countries and Japan
• “Sunday Jam sa Tagaytay” Finalist – Ka Freddie Aguilar’s “Battle of the Bands”
* Best Composition for “Mahal Kong Pilipinas”
* Best Keyboard Player for “Tungod Kanimo”
• Released 3 songs in the album-compilation, “Sunday Jam sa Tagaytay” under AMP Records and distributed by Alpha Records
• One of the Best Performing Guest Bands of Francis M.’s “Music Bureau” on ABC 5
• Awit Awards Nominee for Best Regional Song – “Tungod Kanimo”
Presently, as a Christian Artist-Musician, Alvin has done the following:
• released 3 songs: “Holy God”, “Alam Ko” and “Manalig Ka sa Kanya” in the album-compilation “Hymns of Mercy” under Star Records
• one of the winners of “BANDINGan” for the song “Pray”, a Jesuits Communications Band-Songwriting contest
• guest artist in all current albums of Bo Sanchez: “Build Your Throne”, “We Are Heroes”, “Miracles are on the Way” released by Sound Inspiration
• contributed the song “Awit ng Pagtitiwala (Psalm 91)” to co-K-Preacher Arun Gogna’s album, “Big in God’s Eyes”
• co-produced debut album, “Six Strings and a Song” of upcoming artist, Rinka Romero for Sound Inspiration
• album producer: “Ang Himaya ng Jubileo”, “Pray – A Himaya Anthology” and “PeaceBol”, under Himaya Music distributed by Sound Inspiration
As a musician-artist for about 2 decades now, Alvin must have written more than a hundred songs, did hundreds of performances here and abroad and was involved in about 15 commercial, inspirational and independent albums (and still counting).
